Summary
This job involves being a Developer Advocate at Elastic, where you will engage with the community, create technical content, speak at events, answer technical questions, and contribute to repositories to support users in succeeding with Elastic's technologies.
What you'll do
- Foster the Elastic Community in North America with a strong preference for San Francisco, CA.
- Create technical content around the Elastic Stack for talks, blog posts, videos, and demos.
- Speak at virtual and in-person events like conferences, meetups, and lunch & learn sessions in your location and throughout North America.
- Answer technical questions on Discuss, Slack, social media, and at events.
- Contribute to Elastic repositories or external ones to integrate better with Elastic technologies.
- Help users be successful with Elastic’s stack, solutions, and cloud offerings.
Requirements
- 2 + years of professional experience and technical background in either of Golang, DevOps, Data Science
- Empathy for the community to help them solve their issues
- Comfortable working with highly distributed teams
- Experience working self-driven and self-organizing
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
