This job requires an experienced technical writer with a background in cloud services to develop technical content and code examples for Databricks, focusing on data engineering and developer customers, while also mentoring junior writers and driving technical content strategies.
What you'll do
- Develop technical content and code examples that spans the Databricks product, focusing on the needs of Databricks’ data engineering and developer customers
- Create, define, and drive technical content strategies and documentation site features
- Mentor and develop junior writers and peers
- Inform and inspire customers, setting standards for great technical content all-around!
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical writing experience working with cloud services
- Technical writer, product manager, developer relations, or support engineering background
- Demonstrated strong technical writing skills
- Experience in content design and information architecture
- Experience working with content analytics
- Strong individual or group leadership skills and experience
- Experience with data ingestion and streaming platforms and technology (ideally Spark™)
- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering large cross-functional projects
- 2+ years coding experience in Python or Java/Scala
- DevOps experience
