Product Designer II - Developer Experience

Summary

You'll be a Product Designer on the Developer Experiences Team at Datadog, focusing on enabling developers to test their code and deployments, collaborating with other designers to create innovative solutions and designs for the product.

What you'll do

Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
See design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
Be the expert in your product area, mentoring designers on the team to do their best work
Communicate both design work and the support for design decisions across the company
Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how designs will be built

Requirements

2+ years of full-time experience in digital B2B product design
Familiarity or strong interest in the cloud monitoring/observability/security industries
Proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications
Thrive in the UX design space but are also fluid in the visual design space
Excellent visual and written communicator
Experience with prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision)
Understanding of systems thinking and component-based design patterns
Ability to give and receive feedback well
